Hey everyone, trivia question: Ron Paul ran for President in 1988 on the ticket of the Pot and Porn Party Libertarian Party. As we all know, he came nowhere near to winning a single state's electoral votes. In what state did Ron Paul garner his highest vote percentage, coming within 57% of winning that state's EVs?

Believe in one nutty conspiracy theory, and you end up believing them all.

I can’t help laughing every time I think of anyone BOTHERING to ‘rig a straw poll’ under any circumstances....let alone to ‘thwart’ a fringe candidate like Ron Paul.
Why would anyone bother?

You simply cannot take anything they say at face value. There is always an angle with these people.

I’m not going to make many comments about this farcical piece, except to say that I know Ray Hoffman. Have for years. He’s one of the most honorable Christian gentlemen you’d ever want to meet. The chances of him allowing, much less participating in, any kind of shenanigans is exactly zero.

When Paul crashes and burns somewhere early in the primaries, I'm going to kind of miss them. What makes you think I'm going anywhere if Paul doesn't get the nomination?
Hell, you could've said the same thing when I called GWB a centrist (which he was and still is) before you were even
at FR.
Funny, I'm still here.
Ron Paul bashers offer
way too much drama for my tastes.
And just for background for the actual thread topic of vote fraud Condit has been doing vote fraud for years...
Photos From the Vote Fraud Convention! (08/29/2000) with the Colliers...
Votescam: The Stealing Of America (10/11/1999)...as the last photo in the first link states...
James Condit, Sr.: Attorney who worked with the Collier brothers (Vote Scam).
You and everybody else can go ahead and pull for whichever "party" candidate you want and we'll see several years down the line, if they win the general election, where we stand.

I’ve actually had ‘Romulan ale’ at the Star Trek bar in Vegas’s Sheraton Hotel....I’m pretty sure Obi Ron was the guy dressed up as Quark serving the drinks come to think of it.....

Well.....it might be fun for Paul dectractors but even his strongest critics admit that he has nothing to do with encouraging this complaint, precisely the opposite. Now.....can we actually consider what Paul believes on the issues? When asked about it, he responded this was a time to answer the question. That's not opposition to the complaint at all.
Interestingly the complaintants consisted of 1 registered Democrat, 2 registered independents, and 2 nonvoters. An indication of where his support lies. Not the Republican party.
More important, when asked about his plans for cabinet appointments he answered, honestly, he hadn't thought much about it but would probably do a bad job. Then he noted he had a lot of friends.
His friends and the nature of his supporters become an important issue since they will be the reservois of his administration.
HE: Follow-up -- thank you -- follow-up question. [Laughter] Take two minutes and tell me the people that you would name to your cabinet or to your official family. RP: Probably,> I wont do a very good job of that because I havent thought that through and there are certainly a lot of friends and
HE: Well, before you name the cabinet people, what cabinet departments would you want to have remain?
RP: Well I guess we could have a Justice Department. I guess we could have a State Department, and I guess we could have a Defense Department, and maybe one or two others more but not many more than that. I mean
We need to think about a Republican form of government. I believe in a republic -- little R republic -- and we dont need a Department of Education and a Department of Energy. We used to win elections on that but not any more. We doubled the size of all those programs.

I predicted this, the Paulites had their people outside the voting areas with clipboards at the Straw Poll asking people to “vote again” in another election.
They were basically at that time (during the straw poll voting) trying to build a case to say the results were/would be corrupted. They are detestable.
Here’s my opinion back to them. I question the number of votes tallied for Paul.
I don’t believe that all the votes tallied for him were qualified Iowa voters. Did they borrow Iowa ids, create fraudulent ones?
I have no proof, just from what I have seen his supporters do, it wouldn’t surprise me.
