You sound like someone a day before 9/11.. Amused at the concept of two planes hitting the trade towers and the trade towers falling down going BOOM..

I lost a close personal friend on 9/11 and spent frantic hours trying to find out if my sister-in-law - who worked at Cantor Fitzgerald - was alive or dead. I fled Manhattan on foot, walking 18 miles with my wife to the far side of Queens in a crowd of tens of thousands of evacuees.

The author of this article is a clueless asshat and you are talking out of turn.

Evidently you learned nothing.. The terrorism stakes are increasing not diminishing.. These people(terrorists) want chaos and will have it.. The MsM and MsP do NOT report most of the terrorist activites worldwide..

If America elects the meanest leanest president(Newt Gingrich) in 2008 the world might calm down a bit.. but since American women will elect Hitlery Clinton IT WILL INCREASE.. The terrorists KNOW Hitlery is a weak sister.. corrupt to her painted on smile.. Actually they know ALL democrats are weak sisters.. They might be crazy but they are NOT stupid..

Many More than a billion citizens of this planet(muslims) are in agreeement with all kinds of terrorism.. The idea it is a small few is propaganda, that is not true.. MOST muslims agree.. As told by many coverts from Islam..

US Northern Command. Fine, but we have some other badges around here just waiting for that grand day.

Good post....sobering. It’s naive to think of such a threat as “scaremongering”.

Who would have thought we'd all sit and watch the nightmarish science fiction like images of two of our tallest skyscrapers collapse into the streets of New York killing thousands, while airliners slammed into the Pentagon?

After watching that, those who voice and opinion that this scenario is somehow fantasy, or would never happen are either scared to death, lying to themselves, or are so well off, they just cannot accept that their personal investments and personal lifestyles could come crashing down in a flash, just like the World Trade Center did.

With those that are currently in control of this government, many of these scenarios are a real possibility.

None of these lightweight and advanced implosion designs could be built by terrorists with a 3rd grade education using a hammer and a grenade pin in some cave somewhere

Like those with 3rd grade educations could go to flight schools and learn to fly Boeing 767-222 jet airliners...

Flying a plane is a far cry from designing, machining, or assembling a nuclear weapon.

It surprises me that you would not know that.

Not just a plane, or Cessna 172, but a 767. I was just making a point, that all these bad guys are not all bumbling morons with 3rd grade educations.

It surprises me you would not know that.

Also, thanks to our own government, we are now and have been educating many of these people in our own universities.

In addition, they are fully funded by other bad guys with big dollars and a nut for the U.S. They'll just purchase what they need, or pay to have something built, manufactured etc.

Not trying to rewrite history at all.

The Davy Crockett was a complete system, and there were never that many warheads for the number of missiles. When deployed overseas, it was not uncommon for there to be zero warheads present (or in country, for that matter).

Understanding the design of a warhead is a far cry from actually building one. If you don’t believe me, go ask the North Koreans, and they supposedly had blueprints and everything.

Just trying to acquire the parts to construct one could draw the eye of the Feds.

When a weapon is decommissioned, it is not just shoved on a shelf in a back room, like iron bombs are. These are devices, and are quite intricate and complicated, even the relatively simple design of the Davey Crockett. The parts are meticulously destroyed and the pit is melted down or ground up, to be re-forged later, if needed.

Also, bear in mind that ALL nuclear weapons have FINITE shelf lives, and become unreliable without near constant TLC, something that even a PhD would have no clue how to do.

Uhhh.... Their training was done on Cessna 152 and 172 almost exclusively. Only one Dude tried to get training in Comm Air simulators, and he got busted before he got to the exit.

I never said that they were not smart. They simply lack the education and training to construct, maintain and support nuclear weapons. Anyone can fly a plane. I have yet to see a school for nuclear weapons design and maintenance.

Unless I missed something.

So you seem to be implying they didn't receive 767 training, and they really didn't fly those jet airliners, pulling off one of the most devastating attacks in American history.

It all happened, trust me.

I never said that they were not smart. They simply lack the education and training to construct, maintain and support nuclear weapons.

Yes you did imply or suggest they are not smart. Again, you seem to be implying only those in the U.S. are capable of developing a nuclear weapon, or somehow the bad guys are just not capable of obtaining one.

Unless I missed something.

You obviously missed the part of my post where I stated:

>>Also, thanks to our own government, we are now and have been educating many of these people in our own universities.<<

>>In addition, they are fully funded by other bad guys with big dollars and a nut for the U.S. They'll just purchase what they need, or pay to have something built, manufactured etc.

Evidently you learned nothing..

What I learned is that when people say that an attack will suspend the rule of law and lead to Americans preying on one another they have no clue what they were talking about.

On 9/11 New Yorkers pulled together.

I've also learned today that your tagline describes everything you say accurately.

No, I am telling you that they did not receive 767 training. The rest is your imagination.

Yes you did imply or suggest they are not smart.

I implied that they were uneducated. I am beginning to wonder about you, though.

You obviously missed the part of my post...

Nope, it just sounded like uneducated canned rhetoric, so I ignored it.

Looks like I didn't miss anything.

Cheers!!

So it's your position the terrorist are uneducated, not capable of flying 767s into targets, they were never trained in any capacity to fly airliners, and it would be impossible to them to obtain the funds for a nuclear weapon of any description.

OoooK...

"Understanding the design of a warhead is a far cry from actually building one. If you don’t believe me, go ask the North Koreans, and they supposedly had blueprints and everything. Just trying to acquire the parts to construct one could draw the eye of the Feds." There is a group of highly trained, experienced, and skilled nuclear design and maintenance professionals. Many of them are now (and have been) looking to sell their skills for hard cash. And the "Feds" can't touch them, because they are Russian citizens. The US isn't the only holder of the nuclear genie in the world. Isreal, for one, put together a nuclear program with a fraction of the budget that the Islamic movement has access to. Pakistan and India seemed to quit eating curry long enough to figure out how to make one go boom. But, far and away , the easiest route is to just get a hold of several of the nearly 1 thousand unaccounted for warheads (read USSR weapons), buy a couple of the scientests from their weapons program, and feed the project lots of money. It is a very real possibility, and if you listen to "former military intel folks" that are sprouting up on the subject, our Government thinks it is a real possibility as well.

Flying the airliners isn’t that difficult. If you are current in several different types of aircraft (different singles and light twins), themn mess around with some of the popular flight sim software, you can do a fairly good job of it. Even easier if the aircraft is already airborne.

BTW there are a number of transport catagory simulators around the country that aren’t hard to get access to. Without trying hard, or spending 1 dime, I have been able to get several hours on 4 different sims, 2 of them full motion type sims.
