If I may ask a question about an action you proposed several months ago, sir. In response to the absurd sentences given Ramos and Compean, you proposed a Congressional Pardon for those agents. Although I agree they should not be in jail and would welcome either a presidential pardon or having the sentences overturned on appeal, what is your Constitutional justification for Congress assuming what is an otherwise enumerated power of the executive?
Also, what is the status of Congressional hearings into any potential DHS and Justice malfeasance in this matter?
