Do you realize that the EEVS plan provides for an overhaul of the Social Security card, to make it digital and thereby capable of tracking every use, and would require biometric data on the holder?
Again, I refer you to this testimony before Congress:
The [Employment Eligibility] proposals would transform the Social Security card and include biometric and machine-readable characteristics, such as a digital photograph of the cardholder, for purposes of individual identification. Including machine-readable features on the Social Security card would create a digital record each time the card is used. A widely used machine readable document increases the risk that the number will be compromised through identity theft. And the biometric data on the card would make breaches more serious for cardholders when they occur.

That was a proposal in the recent senate bill, and is NOT part of the current pilot program.
You are mixing up what some have proposed with what it actually is.
