I saw this coming years ago. Putin’s silently trying to re-build an empire, and now he’ll create some plot claiming “internal disturbance” to justify his need to stay in office. FDR had to stay a third term because it was deemed to confusing and distracting to deal with another election and president during a time of war. It’s the same sort of thing Putin will do, he’ll make up some reason why it’s too chaotic for him to leave office yet make it look convincing and he’ll wind up staying.

I'm sure the 25 million who voted for Roosevelt would have agreed.

Just as I'm sure the 22 million who voted for Dewey disagreed.
