Your statement is true as far as the past 75 years are concerned. The supreme ignorance started with the Franklin Roosevelt era when the battle cry became: "The Democrats are for the working man; the Republicans are for the rich." Unfortunately, that mind-set prevails today in many areas of America.

Now, combine that with a drugged up, perverted, uneducated, illiterate American culture of the 21st Century and one wonders if there will still be an America as all of us have known it, 50 years from now.

1960 as far as I can tell. Kennedy was no worse than Nixon would have been. After that, it wasn't until things got so bad in the late '70s that Reagan was elected to keep us all alive.
