That’s a possibility. However, the article says she was hospitalized, so there will be information on her condition to be presented to the grand jury. If he’s not indicted, that would indicate the evidence was inadequate to support the charges.

Alfaro was arrested last week and charged with aggravated assault and evading and resisting arrest.

A cop evading and resisting arrest? Sounds like the guy definitely has some "issues". Does anyone know if the cop and/or his family came here leagally?

That was exactly my first thought, too. If she can even talk right now, then he didn't hit her 25 times, at least not in any manner which constitutes a real "hit". It's not that I would excuse any physical assault in this kind of circumstance, but it sounds like she is embellishing quite a bit. And if she'll lie about that, then maybe the whole thing is BS.

She was hospitalized. That means her injuries were serious enough that the ER doc admitted her. If you want to retract your assumption that she didn’t have a mark on her, now would be the time.
