We visited my son there when he was in training to be a navy nuke. It is a very pretty place. With a few alligators. Incidentally, the students are prohibited from feeding the alligators.

Yes, it is a pretty place. We saw a blue crane, standing in the brambles next to the railroad tracks, as our train passed through Goose Creek.

It was the only thing of beauty on that Amtrak trip; everything else about that train ride was squalid and depressing.

Charleston is a great place though. We went there because we were looking for a conservative destination - wanted out to spend our vacation $$$ in a Red State.
