Boys are pretty much insane during the rutting years. Smart parents keep their sons too busy to screw around until they’re old enough to have some sense. I have been that boy in the closet only I never got caught. (I paid for my sins later, however with heavy, heavy interest.) A good, solid beating at that age would have saved me (and others in my life) a lot of tears and heartache.
I can sympathize with the father. But to discharge a firearm blindly, especially into a room you know to be occupied? That’s just plain crazy. Righteous anger is one thing, but attempted murder is going too far. Once Daddy’s Little Princess has done the deed, it’s too late for violence. The dad in this case should have thumped Young Romeo soundly, ejected him from the premises, and shifted to Damage Control mode.
That's the real problem here.
Your #59.............You’re absolutely correct. You and I obviously have many shared experiences.
