Standard legal procedure is that the father is presumed innocent and a case against him must be proven in court. Its not defending him to point that out and to say we need to wait to hear the evidence before coming to conclusions. Absolutely no proof of any guilt on his part has been offered other than the untested assertions of the prosecution.
The only clearly proven items here was Guzman was in the home against the father's wishes, Guzman is paralyzed from an apparent gun shot from the father, and the father voluntarily surrendered to police.

Absolutely true. But I was not discussing his defense from a legal point of view, rather from moral point of view. There can be absolutely no moral defense for shooting your gun through a door behind which your daughter is standing.
