If I remember from previous discussions, you have quite young children? Or are in the planning stage? From a man who has now raised 2 (college grads) and still raising a 15 y/o daughter, deception from a teenager is hardly uncommon.
She does not ‘automatically’ get the nod of credibility here, but the actions of the father are so incredibly over the top, he has (again jmo) lost ALL credibility and presumption of truthfulness.
