I have taken sometime to catch up reading this thread on the tragedy in Minneapolis. I want to thank the three of you (and others along the thread) for posting your explanations (hypothosis) of what you think happened...and by explaining (to the non-engineer like me) how a bridge 'works' and how a bridge can fail. Thank you for sharing your expertise...
As I drive over and under bridges around here, I will be looking at them in a whole new way.
