So what are you saying? Being a Protestant is bad?, or being a Catholic is good? Understanding the blessing of Jesus is most important.

I do not fall into the trap of telling folks the only way they can recieve the blessing of God is to belong to a certain denomination of the Church that Paul described.

I’m not saying either. What I am saying is that one of the earliest purposes for public education was so that Catholics immigrants would become “integrated” with their protestant countrymen. Read about Horace Greeley for more info on this.
