Just yesterday a bridge under construction collapsed in California.

Friday, a motorist in Massachusetts was crushed by a drainage gate on a highway.

I suppose it's all coincidences, but still it struck me as a little spooky.

There have been reports here of about five manhole covers popping out or something in the last few days. Never heard of such a thing before.

Maybe not coincidences, there have been at least 4 instances of storm gates flying up on various highways around here.
