Thanks for posting this. At this moment, we have a 22 year old family member who has been on life support for 5 days. He was minimally responsive on saturday, but since that time the pressure on his brain has increased and he has been completely unresponsive.

his parents are agonizing over what decisions to make about his care. Although I understand the patient in this article was far more responsive than the boy we’re dealing with, this information makes one think long and hard before being so cavalier with life decisions.

sorry for your terrible family situation.....as far as I am concerned, there are no wrong decisions as long as the decisions are made with love and respect.....
