So real stories of murder, rape, and torture. People being fed to lions, put in fierily furnaces, robbed and left for dead by their own brothers, etc. are preferable to fictional accounts of murder, rape, and torture. If I were to hand you a Bible right now, could you find one of these stories in under 30 seconds? (Be honest).

I may have to give the books a go, although the last time I tried reading them I fell asleep. As a Christian, I don't see anything all that wrong with them.
