Sorry to interject, but when Jesus said to go out an spread the Gospel, the world wasn’t as big as it is today. Nor do I believe that he would have wanted someone to place themselves in a life threatening situation such as this. Aren’t there enough people in your own backyard to work on? Perhaps it is the allure of danger that makes these missionaries seek out those that don’t want to be sought out? I also, question what they are teaching the Afghanis since they are Leftist? Could it be that they are Communists in the guise of missionaries?
It is true that Christians don’t fear death. But neither do the Muslims. However, it is the latter that doesn’t value the precious life that God has given us.
LOL
Your argument is reminiscent of the lefts argument that the 2nd Amendment only applies to flintlocks

I'd sure like to know where that came from, because it isn't scriptural. He (Christ) told us that the world would hate us, that we would suffer persecution, and that many of us would suffer and die for his sake. In fact his disciples understood that and preached anyway, even in the face of Rome and the Jewish leaders of the day.
Actually the world is much smaller now. Back when the call was given, it would have taken you over a year to travel to the other side of the world. And the risk would have been much greater.
The call is still valid. If you are in a lifeboat dont you risk your life pulling others from the water? If you dont, your life is not worth saving anyway...
