I watched the “You Tube” video and have to agree with one comment that O’Reilly makes about some of the vileness expressed by some people on some of the threads.
For instance, the personal attacks. Most recently about the Hillary cleavage and disparaging comments about that.
It would seem to me that just sticking with the political issues ought to be good enough — not making comments about people who might be a bit chubby, or not as pretty as others.
And if it’s true that some lurkers are coming to Free Republic to post ugly, personal attacks to make Free Republic look bad, then maybe we all ought to hit the “abuse” button sooner and more frequently.
What happens when we hit the abuse button? Who responds.
No one person or moderator could possibly have the time to read through all the threads but when each of us finds something, we could police ourselves.
