where she claimed conservatives would love to deny women even their right to vote: "

Clearly she's senile. Conservatives, if elected, want blacks to go to the back of the bus. I'll never forget hearing Ted Kennedy bloviate that line. And of course, he was right. Blacks are now at the back of bus, must use black only drinking fountains, and are denied jobs, housing, and civil rights.

Just ask Condi Rice.

What an insult to Truman.

If any president were involved with her, I would have guessed maybe George Washington when he was older and his eyesight wasn’t so good...

Trudeau better stick with a 150 year younger Helen Thomas and Ulsseys S. Grant after a particularly hard day of burning Atlanta and a great deal of boozing.

Helen Thomas might have been able to promote an LBJ lover link..but I understand she would have had to win a steel cage death match with the plagerizing ever-presidential-bimbo-touting Doris Kerns Goodwin first. Has Doris ever appeared on any show when she didn’t mention she was LBJ’s lover??

Monica please take note... you too could become this successful if only you could only add plagerism to your presidential biimbo resume.

abortion or anything else where women are striving for equality

Hmmm. Women are "striving" to have "equality" with men on "abortions"?

“Women, in particular, have to be more vigilant. They can never let go and think that the battle is won. There has been a chipping-away at every advance we’ve had. Pretty soon they’ll be taking aim at the vote.”

And the party that worked to get women the right to vote was, Helen?

Bzzzt.

Wrong answer, Helen. It was the Republicans.

What party actually took women’s right to vote away from them, Helen?

Bzzzt!

Wrong answer, Helen. It was the Democratic Party, in 1802, which stripped women property-owners of the opportunity to vote.

What party made abolition of slavery its cornerstone, Helen?

Bzzzt!

Wrong answer, Helen. The Republican Party was established a s a Free-soil abolitionist party.

What party had the most members voting against the Voter’s Rights Act in 1965?

Bzzzt!

Wrong answer, Helen. More Democrats voted against that than Republicans.

I’m sorry Helen. As usual, you are clueless.

The Bag Lady: "It seems now, more than ever, the Supreme Court is prepared to put Americans -- especially women -- back in the 19th century if not earlier... Pretty soon they'll be taking aim at the vote."

If they were, then it's about freakin' time. The suffragette movement has long since metastasized into the hysterical society.

If Helen was any dumber you’d have to water her.

"People were saying during the [Ronald] Reagan administration that this was about the Supreme Court," she said. "I wasn't sure at that time what they meant. But the truth is that the court is their one last resort to push their agenda. It is their one last resort to prevail."

Talk about projection.
