Ron Paul is too libertarian. His best case scenario about marriage is just unrealistic and crazy. If the gov’t recognizes individuals, then it makes sense that the gov’t should recognize how individuals come into being and are nutured into adulthood, at which time they make up the whole we call a Nation. Individuals don’t just pop into existence at 18.
Babies come from sex, not marriage. And in any event, it’s nothing the fedral government needs to meddle with. It belongs to the churches.
