For the individual who suggested that illegal immigration was actually cleaning neighborhoods up...Cicero is an excellent example how the immigration has brought neighborhoods down. Not to mention the slow downturn of the Midway Airport area.

Nevertheless there is alot of "up and coming" neighborhoods. Living single in Chicago on a modest income, it is virtually impossible to buy one of those condos in even a sketchy neighborhood. While rent, food and other necessities are relatively reasonable, housing has skyrocketed. I suppose Chicago has become somewhat of the Midwest capital for gays and the double-income no kids crowd.
