Authorities early Tuesday morning raided a Liberty City market suspected of fraudulently processing $4.2 million worth of food stamps.
In all, 14 people were arrested across South Florida, including two employees of Diamond's Grocery Store, 6600 NW 22nd Ave.
Mohamad Issa, the store manager, will face charges of money laundering, organized scheme to defraud and grand theft.

My roomate in college ran a food stamp scam out of our dorm room before Texas adopted the lonestar card and did away with “foodstamps”.
It was an eye opener...needless to say I had a new roomate the next semester...
What about funding terrorism with food stamps?
Absolutely possible...but to make any real money requires a high volume of turning over stamps etc...would draw a lot of attention.

Well the bright side is...it’s easy to catch massive food stamp fraud.
To your point, hopefully, someone with a better gut feeling than Chertoff gives these guys the shakedown.
Early stories suggested that a lot of the 9/11 bombers and their friends were involved with credit card fraud and various other scams.
You might think that terrorists would want to lie low and stay clean until they act, but that hasn’t been their modus operandi. I think they take great satisfaction from scamming the trusting infidel idiots, as they think of us.

Racial profiling needed here. Our neighborhood has three, maybe more. They are stop and go gas and grocery stores and the body odor smell from across the counter is profile enough. I could be blind and know where I am. I GO THERE NO MORE!
I’m not encouraged. Historically, the goverment has been content to let itself be ripped off by these scammers and let them get away with it with no consequences.
Why pursue criminals when you can just recoup the money by raising taxes on the people who actually work and have jobs???
Sort of explains their immigration philosophy.
People would walk in and buy an 18 cent pack of Ramen, pay with a $1 stamp, pocket the change, walk out, throw the Ramen in the trash and walk back in to repeat the cycle.
Kept doing that until they had enough money to buy a six pack or some fortified wine.
Oh, well. My tax money at work.
But NO, these appear to be some of our "terrorist cells" operating right under the eyes of our government!!!!!
Look for more in your state as our MSM will NEVER report that these are actually terrorists' planning more mass murder with us picking up the tab!
