Quite. Nasty things happen - which the 3.4 million U.S. citizens out of the 30 million overseas tourists who visit the U.K. annually seem for the most part happily to avoid, along with the rest of us who live here all the time. If they did not, be sure the U.S. media would immediately be full of it and the tourist industry would immediately dry up, as it did temporarily after the alarms of IRA bombs, foot and mouth disease and 7/7, only to recover rapidly thereafter on each occasion. Inductive reasoning from the particular to the general is always risky.
