I don’t know if this provision could even be used in the case you described, although I understand what you are saying.

Oh, I know. I was just trying to think of an analogy that worked.

If the informant has a real, articulable suspicion (something that meets the 'reasonable suspicion' standard that applies to police) then I have absolutely no problem with immunity. If they cause someone to miss a plane or be detained or harassed simply because they look funny, then they deserve to be sued.

Curious. What would happen if a bunch of guys wearing gang colors or MS-13 tattoos got on a plane and behaved strangely?
