Oh. I see why you don’t understand who I mean by “we.” I went back through the thread, and noticed you refer to conservatives who speak out in favor of the troops as “they.” Just trade your “they” for my “we” and you’ll know who I’m talking about.
During Viet Nam, we remained silent, and allowed the anti-Americans the only voice, so they could “make fools of themselves.” How many lives were lost because of our silence? Was it right that our troops came home to hostility, without any voice of support and gratitude? Do you think today’s troops deserve the same treatment?
