Wrong approach.

This woman is an attention hog.

You’re giving her what she wants. By showing up to protest, you make her appearance a media event.

She is irrelevant. Ignore her.

Ah, but you are the mistaken one.

Whether or not we counter protest Sheehan, the media will cover her protests.

When we do counter her, at least a few of the media will report a line or two about the folks who disagree with Sheehan and entourage.

And, when we counter the Sheehan and the other leftists, we have at least a fighting chance to "pick off" the wishy-washy supporters who are unaware of the radical roots of the "peace" movement.

Over the past couple of years, the leftists' (ANSWER, UFPJ, Code Pink, WCW, etc.) "massive marches" have dwindled from 100,000 participants to only a few thousand, despite huge publicity campaigns. We counter their protests, telling the participants to do some investigating of their own about the radicals behind the "peace" movement.

Not everybody who marches in these events is a card-carrying commie; many do it because being "for peace" sounds cool, and nice, and kind. When they learn that the peace movements biggest players are commies, well, that turns alot of them off and they quit attending.

If we sit around with our heads in the sand (or elsewhere), saying, "If we just ignore them, they will go away," we will pay dearly in increased military deaths, surrender to jihadis, and more terrorism here in the US.

Ignoring the radicals during the Vietnam war didn't work.

Why do you think it will work any better this go 'round?

The media keeps proping her up, so being there cuts her down. People see that there is another side out there.

Second, it IS the path to making her irrevant. The moonbats only come if it's fun. Being held accountable by counter protesters isn't fun for them.

That's what happened in DC with the ANSWER and UFPJ marches. They had fewer and fewer people the next march after being protested. Some people were even swayed from marching with the anti-US front groups because we got the word out as to who ANSWER and UFPJ really represent.

I know the first instinct is to just let it go. She truly isn’t worth it. But she is WRONG. She says that Bush lied. She thinks she is helping our troops by bringing them home.

Sir, our troops want to be there. My husband WANTED to go. He wrote me while he was waiting in Kuwait that he had a mission there. And one day Iraqi children and our children would live in a better world. He had been to the Middle East before in 1991.

You see, typically you join the military because you feel this call to be of service to your country. Some may be in for 4 years and decide that they don’t like the hours (NON-STOP, whenever they need you), the travel (anyplace they want to send you after you get those shots), and all that pay (NOT MUCH AT ALL) and they get out. Hopefully, they’ve learned a little about life and had some values instilled in them that will get them far in life. Then there are the one’s that stay in. They stay because they BELIEVE that defending our country, and those that cannot defend themselves, is the most important thing you can do in this world. My husband was in for 13.5 years and was just getting ready to re-enlist for the fourth time. They would have had to kick him out after 20 years to get him from showing up at the tank ramp every day.

So please, maybe you could go and let people know that our service people want to be there. They want to finish the job. Please go for me, Don’s widow, because I can’t make it there because I have no one to watch my three kids. Please go for my three kids, Mariah, Jack, and Will. Will was born three weeks after Don’s funeral. Someone needs to let Cindy Sheehan and the press that follows her silly actions know that we are here too. I promise the media will be there anyway. And when I was in DC one of her followers asked me “Why aren’t there more of you?”

Yes, why aren’t there more of us?????
