I have been trying to decide between FDT and Duncan Hunter. I had been leaning toward FDT, but wonder if he's right for the job. Lately, I've noticed that he has a similar speech pattern to GWB. I can't handle 4-8 more years of that. And now this thing with Abraham. At this point, Duncan Hunter is the one candidate I am in agreement with on just about all the major issues.

As far as who the enemy is? The list must include Hillary and she must not become president! I'll vote for Rudy if it means keeping her out of the WH.

I heard Duncan Hunter on a talk show today, and the host said the so-called 2nd tier candidates are better than the 1st tier candidates, and told Duncan Hunter that he is amazed at his capacity to understand the “bad guys.”

But then, Hunter did a great job when he Chaired of the House Armed Services Committee, and was a Vietnam veteran who served in the 173rd Airborne and 75th Army Rangers, and I heard a caller on a talk show say that Hunter was very brave when he served, but Hunter was modest about that.

Also, Hunter went to Iraq five times, has a son who served two tours of duty in Iraq as a Marine, and will be serving a third tour this time in Afghanistan.

I’ve helped to rebuild national defense. We have worked hard to make sure that our people have enough pay, that they’ve got the ammunition, that they’ve got the equipment, while at the same time looking over the horizon to look at the new threat of an emerging China and an Iran that is pursuing nuclear weapons and a Korea that already has some and is moving to get the means for delivery. So a strong national defense, the trademark of Ronald Reagan, is what I would pursue.

Hunter knows his miliary and will be the BEST to fight the war on terror, imo.

Several of us were just discussing that over a late dinner. For someone that is no stranger to Hollywood sound stages, celebrities, and the elite corridors of D.C. several of us found that comparison alarming and way too much deja vue.
