International Security Advisory Board (ISAB)

The Secretary of State's International Security Advisory Board (formerly called the Arms Control and Nonproliferation Advisory Board (ACNAB)) provides the Department with independent insight and advice on all aspects of arms control, disarmament, international security, and related aspects of public diplomacy. The ISAB is sponsored and overseen by the Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security. The Board provides its recommendations directly to the Secretary of State. The Board currently has 20 members and is chartered to have up to 25. Board members are national security experts with scientific, military, diplomatic, and political backgrounds. The Board meets in a plenary session on a quarterly basis.

I've noticed an interesting trend among Fredheads, and that is any time their non candidate is criticized they try and shoot the messenger. So far, I've kept an open mind towards Fred's candidacy, but the man's accumulated his three strikes by first hiring a homosexual as a senior advisor, then with his failure to recall his billable work on behalf of the abortion industry, finally with his naming of a jihadi sympathizer as campaign manager.

This was a terrible mistake on Fred's part. As I said in a thread yesterday:

I knew Spence Abraham when he was State Chair of the GOP in Michigan. HE WAS VERY UNFRIENDLY TO EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN CANDIDATES RUNNING FOR STATE OFFICE.
Spence Abraham's track record is abysmal. He's never been an overwhelming success at anything.

I’ll hold off making any judgments for now regarding Fred...
I still like his stances on the following:

The ongoing threat of Islamist terrorism
The unresolved economic threat of entitlements
The need for lower taxes to ensure our nation remains economically competitive and innovative
The need to secure our borders
The need to support families and to protect our children from the harder edges of culture
The need to remain engaged in the world while remaining true to America’s principles

Fred or Duncan.... or Tom.... it’s still too early and whose to say what will happen.

I’ve always thought Schussel had a few screws loose, and this piece confirms it: characterizing an Orthodox Christian (not a Maronite, he’s a communicant of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese) as a ‘Pan-Islamist’, when on top of his own faith he has supported Israel against the Muslim Arabs who beset it, is just over the top.

Schussel seems to actually be an anti-Arab racist.
