“Lighten Up the Load” is a track never released in the U.S. I believe it was either a U.K. single or B-side. It’s a simple, heartfelt song about a guy waiting at a bus station for the love of his life to return to him. Really gets me every time I hear it.

Excerpts:

I’ve been waiting in this station for what seems like a year
It’s midday now, but I don’t trust the clocks they have in here
Maybe ‘round the corner, you’ll be steppin’ off that bus
And then I will remember what it feels like to be us

Put your bags beside me, baby
Right here in the road
Put ‘em down and lighten up the load

If what you’re carrying is heavy as my heart
You’ll need a week’s recovery here within my arms
