You question has been answered fairly about 10 times.

You have made up your mind, are playing word games, and wasting time.

Go believe in conspiracies. Yes, the Jews, the Freemasons, the CFR, and the Pope are all behind your problems.

“You’re gathering the pattern, really. From what I’ve seen as an outside observer, it seems your debate partner here is attempting to lead you to the answer they want you to give, to try to set up an “a-ha” or “gotcha”.”

Yes, they are pathetic.

It generates ideas. Some good, some bad, some boring. Some influential, some not.

It’s a marketplace of ideas.

Both right-wing and left-wing conspiracy people are not smart enough to legitimately debate, and so are afraid of allowing the other side to field its ideas.

Me, I know conservative ideas always end up be proven correct, and so I am not afraid to be challenged.

I prefer St. Pauli Girl. I will not generalize about RP supporters, but they have to get rid of the 911 truthers. What douchebags.

RP has to stop playing footsies with the Truthers.

I'm not saying that he is one, I'm just saying he does not discourage them.

So what if Fred is in the CFR???

Sure there are liberals who are members,,,,but so is Dick Cheney and Condi Rice.

So the CFR just basically sits around and debates, with nothing ever changing, with no power, or influence to change anything in regards to law, politics, government policies etc?

You have made up your mind, are playing word games, and wasting time. Go believe in conspiracies. Yes, the Jews, the Freemasons, the CFR, and the Pope are all behind your problems.

Hmmm..

Lets review the answers or responses offered to the above question:

* The CFR is like the television show Hardball, where no one agrees on anything.

* The CFR is like a college debating society for grownups.

* The CFR has no policy and makes no policy.

* The CFR has no position on any of the issues.

* It's an American organization.

* It's more like an international organization.

* It's members have the best interest of America in mind.

* Some of it's members do not have Americas best interest in mind

* The CFR does not have any influence on government policy.

* The CFR might have influence on government policy.

* It's not known if the CFR has influence on government policy.

* The CFR is a typical organization, much like the FreeRepublic, but the CFR stands for nothing nor do they have a position on anything.

* The CFR researches all sides of issues but makes no policy, offers no opinion, nor does it take any positions on any of the issues.

* The CFR is simply a market place of ideas.

* The CFR might have influence on government policy but only when it publishes papers that might be read by those that have influence.

* The CFR has no power.

* The CFR might have some power.

* The CFR is like Lincoln-Douglas debates for grown ups.

* CFR influence on law, politics, and government policies is debatable.

* The CFR has no authority and no power to influence or change anything in regards to law, politics, government policies

*The CFR is like a debate club on steroids.

* The CFR takes no position on the issues.

* The CFR has positions on all issues, but they are all different positions.

* The CFR occasionally has some influence, depending on the quality of the reports they put out.

* Some CFR members have America's best interest in mind while others are much less concerned with America's best interest.

* The CFR is a pointless debate society.

* The CFR is a polite, over-thought, like the television show Hardball.

* The CFR is like Congress, where few agree on anything.

* The CFR does not have any authority or legislative or policy-making power, but it might have influence on all the above.

* The CFR provides advice to the government people who ask, and sometimes they pay for it.

After receiving the above responses to a legitimate question, and then asking for specifics I was told I believe in secret conspiracies, it was implied I blamed the Jews the Pope, the Freemasons, and I was told I have leaning disabilities.

Thanks you for all the insight. It's been interesting.

Great selective quoting. No wonder you like to troll the CFR sites; with all the opposing viewpoints, it must be a quote-miner heaven.

Perhaps you should subscribe to the magazine, because selecting just one side of the point-counter-point pages could help you prove up any conspiracy or agenda you want, on almost any issue.

I feel sorry for you that you’re so afraid of a debate society.

Me, I’m not afraid to debate liberals (or even nuts), as I know conservative (and sane) ideas win in the marketplace of ideas every time.

They certainly went to a lot of work for the weak "gotcha" they ended up with from you, didn't they? They must have hands the size of cantaloupes and grip strength like a vice from all the grasping at straws they were doing.

But hey, any sacrifice is worth it if it can prove the CFR is an eeeevil organization intent on taking over our minds and surrendering our sovereignty, and Fred Thompson is therefore guilty of the same things by association. Right? (snicker)
