Interesting question. Just today, a member of an organization was trying to get a War Dog Memorial on the D.C. mall.

She stated, with the quick pullout of troops during Vietnam, the equipment was left behind.

Unfortunately, the Military had classified working dogs as equipment and not important enough to be evacuated during the pull-out.

Many a dog handler and many a dog had a bad day.

CUT and run means just that (sad to hear about the dogs).

We could use demolition to keep our supplies from falling into the wrong hands but when the decision is made to LEAVE, it doesn’t mean a little at a time.

If we were in a “quagmire” of quicksand, we wouldn’t say, “but wait, my shoe came off, let me dig it out...”
