I’m one of her last remaining blood relatives. Most of the stuff in the Carrie Nation museum in Kansas was donated by my Mom.

I'm sure many of us are.
The normal story is that Carrie Nation, disgusted by the effects of alcohol on her husband and on her family life, picked up a hatchet and, in a Sheehan-like rage, led angry mobs of women to deface the local saloons, sparking a national movement. The preachers jumped on the bandwagon and soon support grew for the insane Prohibition attempt.
Funny we have a descendant here at FR. You don't have a hatchet, do you?
