Lot more here than “just horseplay”
My wife has had one of these “young men” in her classroom...
This is a long term behavior issue -
Involved more than slapping a bottom -
Involves minors -
Is on video tape -
Let’s just say these young men need some help.
If you’re going to come out with that post, you need to provide more information. What are you saying—they videotaped themsevles slapping girls bottoms? Your post is cryptic.
Well don't be shy, tell us exactly what's involved here besides bottom slapping and horseplay.
And while you're at it, tell us what you think the appropriate punishment should be. 10 years in JD?

If there are other issues, then they should have been addressed appropriately. What is only described as slapping a girl’s behind (and the reverse perpetrated by girls) doesn’t require registration as a sex offender. If there are aggravating circumstances that are not being publicly disclosed, then those issues should be factored in by the court, if serious enough for intervention.
Otherwise, all these children should be admonished and supervised, girls included if they are participants. Girls shouldn’t get a pass simply because they are female. I survived my share of boisterous and/or obnoxious boys while growing up without having the law involved.
The schools go way overboard on this stuff because they are afraid of litigation from parents if they didn’t take action.
