Except for Dr. Paul's opposition to the Iraq invasion (and they still haven't produced a WMD stockpile or delivery platforms as they promised us they'd find in Iraq), Ron Paul holds the most conservative positions in the race. Some might argue that he's too conservative to get elected, well, that's their right to think that.
He has sounded the great Reagan themes and never wavered on them during his career.
And his great liberty message and his appeals to so many new voter blocs and young people is exactly what our party needs. We need to jettison the big-government Dim-lite agenda and get back to our winning conservative message. Or we will lose in 2008.
The fundraising and support Ron Paul has should be sending a clear message to the party: "Go back to your conservative roots. Stop being the party of big-government." You know, even Ron Paul is surprised at the enthusiasm, the young people being so excited.
