Don't smile yet. The RNCC could cut off support in the general race and we could end up with a Dem--it's my belief that at least some of the 2006 losses were deliberately engineered by Gillespie and Rove to give Bush "the congress he could work with" in re amnesty.

If you consider that anti-amnesty almost always equals pro-WOT, Bush may well have sold out his war support for Love of Vicente.

We badly need to get rid of the Bush RNC--it's not just anti-conservative, but anti-GOP.

Thing is, this was a non-partisan runoff. The rules differed here (as in many states) because it was a special election. So this runoff was the general election.

Paul Broun is in.
