*** U.S. Troop Withdrawal Bill Not Likely To Gain Necessary Support After Around-The-Clock Debate ***

Senate Democrats staged an all-night debate on the Iraq war in a dramatic attempt to wear down Republicans who refuse to vote to begin to bring troops home by fall.

Republicans responded with a yawn — agreeing to stay around and respond to any votes that might be scheduled around-the-clock but remaining steadfast in their opposition to the Democrats' anti-war legislation.

"This is nonsense," said Republican Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska.

Added Oklahoma Republican Tom Coburn of his Democratic colleagues: "I bet I can stay up longer than they can."

Harry Reid's surrender resolution all-night blab-fest is a big flop.

It’s just theatre after all.

They have no responsibilities other than keeping those dollars coming in from Moveon and the rest of the gazzillionaire progressives (ain’t that a laugh).

Bush would veto even if it passed.

I think the whole bunch are traitors giving aid and comfort to AlQueda while lining their own pockets; actors playing statesmen while real heros fight and some die.

I turned on C-Span 2 by mistake and saw the terrorist pep rally in progress. Couldn’t find my remote fast enough before I changed channels.

The fact that Democrats beleive they will enhance their political standing by giving aid and comfort to the enemy tells you everything you need to know about the wretched state of their party.

By keeping troops in Iraq, we keep terrorists heads down and too busy to make attacks on U.S. soil.

By keeping troops in Iraq, we keep Congressional Democratic leaderships heads down keep them too busy to pass dim laws.

I thought Lieberman last night gave the best speech on the consequences of our withdrawal from Iraq. A transcript of his speech should be read by all.

The NIE just told us that Al Qaeda in Iraq is Al Qaeda’s best terrorist asset. Nonetheless, Harriett Reid is in a big hurry to leave. So much so, that he stages an “all-night debate”. This is the kind of symbolic nonsense that wows the anti-war goobers.

“tells you everything you need to know about the wretched state of their party.”

Sure does. They have to pacify the left-leaning anti-war crowd, or they won’t get re-elected.

“We are at the crossroads of hope and reality, and the time has come to address reality,” said Republican Senator Olympia Snowe, adding that the Iraqi government was guilty of “serial intransigence” when it came to trying to solve the country’s political problems.

Tell it to the Democrats Snowe head.

8 out of 16 objectives met by the Iraqi government and the Dems have gotten what? The minimum wage passed?

Have this traitor Harry Reid won anything so far? We are fortunate that the traitors among us are totally totally impotent, big losers, and stupid beyond belief.
