Antiwar Ron Paul Rakes in Military Donations? (More than any ohter Candidate!!!)
Iraq Slogger ^ | July 16, 2007

Congressman Ron Paul has defined his Republican presidential candidacy with a staunchly critical stance on the Iraq war, saying during the June 5 debate in New Hampshire, for example, that it was a "mistake to go and a mistake to stay."

Paul has often reiterated his views that US security has been worsened by its military presence in Iraq, and that Bush's pre-emptive war doctrine represented one of his administration's greatest moral failings.

One might think such criticism of the war and the Commander-in-Chief's leadership would make Paul a pariah to the military community, however, the latest figures indicate the antiwar Republican is receiving more donations from employees of the US military than any other Republican candidate.

The sad part is that some people actually think that... :)

Congressman Ron Paul is an anti-American supporter of al-Qaeda who is helping kill Americans every day just like his left-wing pig faced Nazi Democrat friends.

I don’t know how they got Vets, unless it was from people working for the VA. Let me know if you know.

It looks like Paul’s people recorded the occupation (probably making it mandatory from the website) and McCain didn’t make it mandatory or didn’t ask the question. So McCain’s people didn’t record the occupations. I don’t know about the other candidates. I came to that conclusion looking at the data at: http://query.nictusa.com/pres/2007/Q2/

Ron Paul: Amount for which no employer was supplied - $100.00
John McCain: Amount for which no employer was supplied - $2,207,402.39

I don’t think you can base anything off such a wide difference in data input.

Looks like a case of McCain’s campaign simply not asking for that information.

Are you calling the soldiers who gave this money anti-American supporters of Al Qaeda? If so, I’m sure that they don’t appreciate your non-support for their service to their country.

If Ron Paul gets the nomination, a globalist will inherit the White House by default.

Try playing the game with me then!!!!

Lets put it in context however. I didn't join a forum just to post Pro-nut-ball stuff like "I support Ron Paul".

Received this in my inbox from Reason.com:

“The Ron Paul Movement - The libertarian longshot won’t win the presidency, but that isn’t the only prize on the table”

Seems the Ron Paul boosters are fighting hard on sites like youtube, FreeRepublic and DailyKossacks:

http://reason.com/news/show/121399.html

We’ve noticed a lot of it on FR.

Let me get this right. According to your shifting standards, if Ron Paul supporters are newbies, that makes them wrong. If you're a newbie, however, that's different, right?

A lot of people slinging blatant mud at him.

My first pick is still Duncan Hunter, but I like Paul for a whole host of other reasons. He doesn't deserve the BS and lies being heaped on him here and elsewhere.

I am new. But have read this site for a long time and voted for Duncan Hunter on the front page poll. Paul is all about what I have always thought true conservatism is. I think were it not for the disagreement with him on the war most here would agree.

I joined FR because of my support for conservatism and the Constitution.

Dr. Paul is one of only a handful of people in Congress that has actually READ the Constitution and tries to follow what it says.

If you think that is "nut ball" talk... you are on the wrong web forum... newbie...

This doesn’t say that soldiers donated. It says that employees of the U.S. military donated. There is a marked difference and the fact that such careful words were chosen leads me to believe that many are civilian employees.

The breakdown on the actual FEC page paints a far more vague picture.

What?

Put down the Ron Paul coolaid, clear your head, and try making sense.

Ron Paul supporters are wrong because Ron Paul is a nut-ball kook, who blames America for Islamic radicalism.

It's not complicated at all.

These Paulites who worship Cindy Sheehen with her like minded anti war hate are disrupters on FR.
As much as I dislike Rudy’s social views, the more I see these anti war Paulites, I can at least say, Rudy knows the islamofascist are the enemy.
