Iran locked on to 600 targets in Israel

Iran has marked 600 targets for its long-range missiles inside Israel, the Qatari newspaper Al Watan reported on Sunday.

According to the report, Iran is threatening to hit the Jewish state with a massive missile strike if either Israel or the US attack the Islamic Republic or its allies in Syria.

Recent political talk in Jerusalem and Washington indicate the time is rapidly approaching that Israel and the US will have no choice but to intervene militarily to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

Likewise, Israeli military experts are predicting a full-scale war with Syria sometime in the coming six months, possibly set off by a renewal of low-level cross-border Hizballah aggression.

600 conventional missiles are a relative pinprick

Two things you must consider, first, Syria heads bio and chemical warefare for the Islamic Empire, and secondly, Israel the Nation is not as wide as the city of LA with a much greater concentration of population density. You can not live a rural lifestyle, the Arabs will kill ya. Everybody lives in the city or in small towns taking turns at guard duty for self defense. 600 missiles could destroy Israel completely if WMD is involved.

But we can trust people who use their own children for bombs not to use poison or disease right?

Actually 3 or 4. Oom, Tehran, Bandar Abbas, maybe one or two more.

Samson was blinded and chained in the Philistines palace to two pillars to be the laughing stock of their rich and famous. In the middle of the drunken party, Samson pulled the roof in on all their heads, dying in the process.

Since Israel cannot adsorb a first strike and survive, The Samson option is to nuke all the capitol cites of the Islamic enemies of Israel in hopes to stop a killing attack.

It is not wise to back Israel in the corner, because if you say "Do you feel lucky Punk" while pointing a 44 at their heads, you just might find out that they feel lucky...

Agreed, but six hundred “conventional” missiles with the kind of lethality and ballistic accuracy Iran has demonstrated are still little more than a pinprick.

A few well placed “countervalue” shots would cause far more economic and morale damage to Iran. Power plants, for sure. Petroleum distribution facilities, air traffic control radar are high on my list.

According to other articles, they are sporting terminal guided tv smart bomb types from Russia. Don’t remember the make, but they are solid fuel truck mounted intermediate range systems.

You have to keep in mind that Israel has perhaps 5 major cities and about 20 minor ones. 600 warheads is to Israel as 40,000 is to the US.

I think your thesis depends upon timing. Will the republicans screw around enough to lose it all next time (2008) to allow a pro terrorist president (Hillary and the Suha kiss) to be elected in conjunction with the reelection of her pro terrorist allies in the house and senate? Or, will the new Mexicanhyphenamerican voters be in place to effect your scenario?

Terminal guidance ups the ballistic accuracy, solid fuel means you don’t get a tip off when they start fueling them and truck mounting means they can easily be dispersed. All bad things, agreed.

Like I said, I wouldn’t welcome such an attack, but if I were an Israeli strategic planner (as opposed to a politician) I wouldn’t let it deter me from taking vital self defense actions.

R.V. Jones predicted that the German would launch rocket attacks within ten days of D-Day. In the event, the first V1 fell on London on June 15, 1944. Should that have detered the Normandy invasion? Letting Hitler fester would have meant more carnage latter.

I have some faith in the Israeli Arrow, which is too expensive to waste on the kind of trash weapons Hezbullah threw at you last year.

I think the Arrow is perfect for these Iranian weapons. But 600 of them will overwhelm the Arrow system. The THEL is deployed I hear, so I hope it works on these systems.

My point is that Bush and Kennedy want these low cost illegal alien workers to settle in America, a move which is fine for the strategy of international investors but will eventually result in tragedy for the Israeli people, not to mention the future of our Republic.

As far as I know I am the first to mention this connection between illegals in the U.S. and the death of Israel. Pray that I am wrong and join hands with everyone who sees the damage that is happening to our American culture. We must stop this immigration invasion that is geared solely for the financial growth of international investors.

>1) I haven’t seen any of this silly NAU business outside of FR and WND, so I am highly skeptical it exists outside of a possible NAFTA-style trade agreement with a mini-NATO thrown in on the side.<

You do understand what NAFTA is. Good! What you don't understand is how large it is intended to grow. Have you ever read this before;

** For more discussion concerning the delicate balance between Community-wide regulation and national sovereignty struck by Community measures, see reference 35.

This short review of the European experience has suggested by analogy the broad outlines of a future North American Social Policy. The European Community, a much more mature regional zone, makes use of several institutions that have neither been contemplated nor included in the text of NAFTA. Policy makers in Canada, the us, and Mexico might consider adding some of the legislative and judicial institutions used to promote European integration to those measures, primarily the activities of the North American Labor Commission, already established by text of NAFTA and its side agreements.

The movement to harmonize workplace health and safety laws and regulations as demonstrated by the recent EC Action Programme is a necessary first step towards building this North American Social Policy. This measure would help North America develop a level playing field on the continental level, free from distortions created by differing social conditions such as labor costs, regulatory structures, and trade union organization. The side agreements on Labor Cooperation place national laws and standards outside of the bounds of NAFTA, relying on the expression of general principles in Annex I to the Labor Agreement to guide the implementation of labor standards in all three countries. The lack of harmonized regulations will hinder any administrative efforts to determine whether one nation is guilty of undercutting the efforts of another by providing a laxer regulatory environment in the workplace. The NAFTA nations should adopt a framework of legislative instruments similar to those used by the EC to harmonize regulatory norms at the continental level.

The enforcement of a group of regional laws, norms, and regulations, would require the functions of a North American Court of Justice. The Arbitral Panels of the Agreement on Labor Cooperation fall far short of the judicial authority granted to the European Court of Justice. Though these panels theoretically have the right to impose economic and trade sanctions against infractors, they do little to establish the relation of national law to those regional interests that will be created by increased trade and investment relations at the continental level. Without reliable North American laws, a court system with the authority to enforce such standards, and a judicial philosophy such as the doctrine of community pre-emption to guide the development of continental law, the dream of an even playing field in North America driven by closer ties of integration will remain only partially fulfilled.

Most importantly, the leaders and citizens of North America must recognize the value of a social agenda to the development of free trade. Concerns over "social dumping" in Europe have produced a more profound social integration, while, in North America, fears of industrial flight and the export of hazardous industries to Mexico threaten to cut short the life of NAFTA and the project for North American regional integration contemplated in its clauses. The success of NAFTA will depend upon our acknowledgment of the lessons suggested by the European experience and our willingness to apply these lessons to the development of an integrated North American social agenda.

________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________

This is the NAU that they're talking about! Yes, VOL.36, No.6, "the development of an integrated North American social agenda." This is what they were talking about back in 1994. Today, this isn't just about trade. This has to do with how the future workers are educated, housed, ajudicated, medicated, you name it and that damn agreement has it in there somewhere.

What is not included in there is a single word about individual liberty or private property rights or the peoples control over their government or Israel. There is lots in there about trade, which is what they intended for you and me to believe it was all about.

What does this have to do with Israel? As I said, when the US budget no longer includes help for Israel that's when the SHTF.

With every illegal alien who crosses our southern border, those traits that now define the foundation of western civilization become increasingly more diluted, and freedom world-wide becomes that much more precarious. Sometime down the road (a very short road), the world will once again need to look to America for strength and leadership … but this time they will find an unrecognizable murky ‘stew’ composed primarily of self-serving parasites who are unfamiliar with, and uninterested in, what is required to secure and defend human liberty. They never sacrificed for, or learned, what it meant. They simply crossed a border and claimed its treasure.

A pox on those who now sit in positions of leadership in Washington, single mindedly seeking to declare irrelevant the magnificent blueprint our beloved Founders fashioned for us. Because of the trust that has been placed in them, and because of the courage and sacrifice represented by those who went before, the degree of evil in Washington is, in an historic context, in some ways even more pernicious than that found in any Islamic terrorist mindset.

Sad but so true. Thank you, Joanie.

This whole Islam thing plays directly into China's hand. They want to rule the world they just need someone else to take us out. The muslims are doing a fantastic job of taking us down brick by brick. Passive, Ostrich Americans are being put into a cool pot of water and the heat is going up slowly and we're too stupid to see it.

Meanwhile, China just sits back and waits for the west to fall or become seriously compromised. Then they strike...same philosophy Lenin/Stalin had. Let the war weaken your enemy and then take them all out when they're all weakened. It didn't work for the USSR but the Chinese have learned from their mistakes.

It is amazing to me that the world has allowed one insignificant country (Iran) to become a threat to anyone again.

It's incomprehensible and indefensible. In a sane world, it should never have reached this point.

It is long past time to beat them once and for all, so that they never become a threat again.

The time may well be past when the leadership of the free world has the will to do what needs to be done to end this.

“Syria is massing missile launchers on the Israel border along with tanks. Iran paid off Syrias debt and Russia is delivering lots of top line military gear to Syria.”

Thank you for this information. I knew about Syria ramping up its military presence on the Israeli/Syria border, but somehow I missed the part about Russia delivering all the military gear to Syria. Russia has its own problems with Islamic terrorists (the terrorist take over/hostage situation in a theater some years ago and the one where they took over a school and killed children and teachers), so I still don’t really understand why they sell military gear to any country that harbors, trains or supports terrorists.

Or 600 missiles pointed at Israel is like 600 pointed at NJ.

Thanks for your on the ground insight on these threads.
