You know, the best part about all this sniping right now is that it will truly be OLD NEWS when Fred announces, and his lovely young wife and their two darling children are by his side. Even better will be when Jeri's resume is made public. Folks who might be inclined to dismiss her as just a little 'trophy wife' will be forced to sit up and take notice. While reading this thread, I kept trying to think of a soft hearted, sweet, fair-minded, practical and honest liberal woman. Not one. They all appear to be angry. Eleanor Clift kept coming to mind - with her scowling, prune mouth, and glaring, hateful eyes. Why are they all so seething? Could it be that the men they are married to, are so interested in schemes against Republicans, that they don't have time to nurture their marriages? Many (like Estrich) will never be married.

Seems like: (1) the dems are generally worried about the impending campaign of FDT, based on the recent onslaught of articles trying to spin his marriage as somehow scandalous or controversial, and (2) criticizing his attractive, younger, well-accomplished wife is the best “skeleton” they can come up with. Actually I have heard Susan praise Giuliani in the past, she was bragging to Sean Hannity earlier this year about how Rudy agrees with her on most things, and she was tickled that he was the Republican front runner. So now that Fred is looking a lot better, she really does have something to fear now.
