I no longer shop at Sam's Club because of this policy.

About a year ago I walked into my local Sam's Club and forgot they check you for a card on the way on. This guy came up behind me and grabbed my arm.

I turned around, looked him in the eye, and started counting: 1 .. 2 .. 3 ..

He looked shocked and turned me loose. Then he explained about the card. I took it out, along with my pocket knife. I cut the card in half, handed it to him, and walked out. I've never been back.

Not to turn it into a Wal-MArt bashing thread, but (now) I really don't see the benefit of shopping at Sam's/Costco/etc.

I always wound up buying more than I planned. And, the prices are no better than most places. I shop the sales (and stock up during them) at the local grocery/Target/Kohls and do much better than I ever did at the big discounters.
