Of course, Sam’s Club and Costco do that. Home Depot tried it for a while and gave up. My brother-in-law claims that, legally, the stores have no right to do that, so he and my sister just say, “That is not necessary” and keep walking. Thus far, they haven’t had any problems. I like to go along to get along. It doesn’t bother me to show a receipt, but I can see how some people would take offense.

This is the problem. People putting up with this treatment. THESE WHOLESALE CHEAP STORES TREAT YOU LIKE CRIMINALS.

I don’t like places that do this garbage.

This in no way means I support the plaintiffs trying to leverage “racism” as the reason.

It should be a class-action suit for ALL people against nit-picky untrusting no-service-but-we’ll-frisk-you stores.

And then we FReepers wonder why so many people “go along” with whatever the GOVERNMENT makes us do.

Hope your BIL comes up with the bail too when he and your sister are hauled off to jail.

You’re in my store. You play by my rules.
