The term “art” is loaded with elitist meaning that is supposed to make us ignorant commonfolk bow down and grovel in its presence.

Yes, this is art, but so is a toddler’s finger painting. Is it good art, that most people would spend money on, and display in their home? Absolutely not.

It is also a political statement. But also a political statement that conveys a grossly sophomoric ignorance of American history.

It offers nothing of beauty, inspiration or education.

So no, it should not be hanging in a public place, perhaps in the Robbins-Sarandon home or in Jane Fonda’s powder room, but not in an airport.
