Yes, he spent like a Congressman,keeping money and businesses in his district, as opposed to allowing it to outsource. No better (or worse) than any other in office really. But I agree, he could have done better.

He spent money on national programs, PDB, No Child Left Behind", '05 Highway Bill....

"CFR type legislation"? That's stretching it, considering Fred wanted his name on the McCain-Feingold package. If you give Thompson a pass, surely you can do the same for Hunter.

Where did I give Fred a pass on CFR. Anyway Hunter did vote on the CFR followup bill.

Where did I give Fred a pass on CFR.

I said "IF" and acknowledged that Hunter voted on the follow up.

It’s ironic but without campaign finance ‘reform’ a conservative may never get elected because they can’t raise the money that a liberal can. The 2008 campaign is illustrative. Since money is speech, liberals contribute more ‘speech’. Yes money talks and politicians listen.
