I don’t see how the Statue of Liberty could be one. Mt. Rushmore would have been a better choice, imo.

The Emperor Justinian's Hagia Sophia Church/Mosque/Museum would be a great contender, if the Muslim conquerors hadn't whitewashed over the paintings and mosaics and removed the statues!!
