Gore on Libby, son’s arrest, and '08 election (The hypocrisy never ends)
MSNBC ^ | 7/5/2007 | John Springer

Posted on 07/05/2007 10:34:06 AM PDT by tobyhill

Al Gore was determined to talk about Live Earth, a series of concerts around the world this weekend to raise climate change awareness, in an interview on TODAY. But the show’s host, Meredith Vieira, was able to get him to address his son’s recent arrest, Bush’s controversial commutation of Scooter Libby’s sentence, and his own aspirations for the White House

What? Being “charged with knowledge”?

I buy "knowledge offsets" from Al Gore.

Look at the biased writing in this piece:

1) In 2000, Gore received more popular votes than George W. Bush, but lost the presidential race in the Electoral College and the courts.

* “and the courts” is superfluous. The only reason it went to the courts is because Gore refused to concede after losing the electoral college. Gore lost, period.

2) Gore’s appearance on TODAY to discuss Live Earth was overshadowed somewhat by the arrest early Wednesday of his 24-year-old son in California on suspicion of possession of marijuana and drugs without a prescription. Al Gore III was allegedly driving a blue Toyota Prius about 100 mph south on the San Diego Freeway when he was pulled over by sheriff’s deputies, who said they smelled marijuana, according to the Associated Press.

* “suspicion of possession” - oh, nothing was found, right?
* “allegedly driving” - innocent until proven guilty, but is this same courtesy given to other “alleged” criminals?
* “smelled marijuana” - again, the appearance is created that it was only smelled and no drugs whatsoever where actually found.

3) “He was charged with knowledge that could incriminate his bosses in the White House, which included the vice president and the president.”

* Really? Was that the actual charge or is Gore just really this frickin’ ignorant? How can the reporter put a comment like that in without citing the ACTUAL charge unless he wanted to give Gore’s BS charge some kind of credibility?

4) “We are going to ask the two billion people estimated to be in the audience Saturday...”

* I’m just including this one as a laugh line. Enjoy.

Gore said the fact that Libby may or may not have acted on behalf of others in the White House makes the order “different” than President Bill Clinton’s pardons of politically connected criminals during his final days in office.

1. it's a commutation not a pardon
2. if you want to talk pardons...that stink...two words...

Gore should pay more attention to his failing son rather than going out and trying to save the world with some crazy global warming theory.

before Meredith took the Perkie’s position lots of wimmens were looked at........when it was Meredith’s time to be looked at, a friend of Hillary’s said Meredith “looked delicious”.......” Hillary loves delicious” and wondered if Meredith would like to meet Hillary in NY “sometime”.

Meredith said she was straight and not likely attracted to plump wimmens

Of course she was eager. She let him get away with some serious whoppers. Just because I can’t resist, I have to throw this one out there again:

“We are going to ask the two billion people estimated to be in the audience Saturday...”

From the interview,.... “Gore said the fact that Libby may or may not have acted on behalf of others in the White House makes the order “different” than President Bill Clinton’s pardons of politically connected criminals during his final days in office.”

So, write this one down folks, “may or may not have.....makes the order (?) “different.”

This reminds me of Algore describing the Buddhist visit as an “outreach program”.......right, he reached out his hand so they could put campaign money into it.

Algore, what will be the total carbon ‘footprint’ for all these concerts and the people going to and from them?

Stage lighting should all be banned and a couple of compact flourescents used instead. All bands should play acoustic.

I wonder why Gore or his friends in the MSM don’t mention that his concerts only benefit a charity that he controls?

Well, let’s assume he also means the people that will be watching on TV at home. He STILL expects 1 in 3 human beings on the planet to tune in to his stupid concert.

Unbelievable ego!
