I made no such posting.

Please note that the criminal accusation was posted by “Aristitleman” in post #25. There was another idiotic post by “KoRn” in #25.

In #28, I noted the criminal accusation was most probably NOT true or accurate when I said “MIA was/is U.S. Military Attache, not just “employee”

My source for his status was listed in #27 and agrees totally with your assessment.

It is easy to understand your error in the light of the emotion involving a missing friend or loved one. No offense taken, and rest assured of universal prayers here for his safe return.

It is said that the terrorist video taped Bill Buckleys tortured death. It is also said that battle hardened men wept while viewing it.

I've seen all I need to see of that video, as well as more recent productions of Global Jihad, Inc.

Do you know about the recovery of Buckley’s body?

Do you know about the recovery of Buckley’s body?

No, no more than the publicly released story of partial remains found wrapped in a blanket in Lebanon.

As far as I know his chief torturer, Imad Mugniyeh, is still upright and taking nourishment.

link/a> NICOSIA - The U.S. embassy in Cyprus issued a public appeal on Sunday for information on the whereabouts of a senior U.S. diplomat who has been missing for three days.

Thomas Mooney, 45, described on the Cyprus government Foreign Ministry Web site as a U.S. defence attache, was last seen leaving the embassy on Thursday afternoon.

The embassy declined to state the nature of his work, calling him an 'employee.'

Authorities declined to speculate on where he might be or the reasons for his disappearance.

'We are looking into all possibilities, and searching everywhere for him,' a police source involved in the inquiries told Reuters, but declined to be more specific.

'He just disappeared,' a United States embassy official told Reuters.

Diplomats said the U.S. embassy initially put out a quiet alert over Mooney's disappearance with other diplomatic missions and police on Friday, but were forced to go public when initial inquiries drew a blank.

Acquaintances said Mooney, who has the rank of lieutenant-colonel, was on his second tour of duty in Cyprus within the past five years and was believed to be on the island without his family.

His car was also missing and his mobile phone switched off.

>>>No, no more than the publicly released story of partial remains found wrapped in a blanket in Lebanon.

Reality is that Muzzies left his body in a very public place in Beruit area, covered with fire zones.

Very enterprising senior CIA former COS, who was out of country whey Buckley will killed, dressed as Muzzie, welded false floor in VW bus, stole body, took to safe area.

"before you post you should think about this “missing person”. He has a family, friends...he’s well-respected....your post is totally ignorant....why don’t you think before you write as his family and friends are reading these posts."

I was just speaking from a point of generalized (dark) humor. I mean no harm to the missing diplomat or their families, eventhough I can understand how my remarks could do such a thing, after thinking more about it. There are times when all of us make a stupid post, and in my case this is one of those times.

"Access to the turkish side is not free, there are check points where your passport is stamped and you are recorded on a computer IN and OUT."

I traveled on a day trip from Nicosia (Greek side) to Kyrenia (spouse's birthplace - she left for college at 18) to check out her mother's house and visit Bellapais Abbey. We encountered no such process - yes, we showed passports at the checkpoints but didn't get any stamped papers.
Anyway we found a couple of old Turkish women in her Mom's once beautiful house (now a shambles) and they had converted the first floor to a store. Although they looked nervous they let us in the house so my wife could show it to me. She was somewhat depressed after that.

That’s peculiar. I suppose that they stamp the special paper only when you are a Cypriot citizen.

What you did in Kyrenia must have been very surreal and depressing for your wife. I wish you the best. I had a similar experience a couple of years ago.

There is absolutely no way that the Turks in Cyprus, islamists or not, would kidnap an American diplomat. They just wouldn't’t. I’m sorry I made the probably insensitive claim about possible “underworld” connections, but there was lately an incident of a greek Cypriot underworld figure who attempted to murder an embassy official because of “differences” they were having. I don’t know if this is linked, but who knows. I just have a hunch it’s a local crime and not an abduction. Sorry if I offended family members and worried friends.

Bill Buckey: Never forget.
Iranians kidnapped and killed American Army Officers in the last days of the Shah’s regime. Could be Hezbollah:

http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/
It is impossible to say what happened to Col. Mooney, and whether he will turn up soon, alive and well. However, the Iranians have accused the United States of kidnapping five Iranian diplomats in Iraq several months ago. The US has refused to return them, saying they were enabling and directing sophisticated IED attacks that were killing US Soldiers and Marines. In addition, the fanatical Islamic Revolutionary Guard has seen several high-level defections recently, which must have had major behind-the-scenes repercussions in the mullahcracy.

Kidnapping Col. Mooney might be a tit-for-tat move by Tehran against the United States. President Ahmadi-Nejad has long been deeply involved with the El Qods Brigade of the IRGC, which has carried out assassinations and bomb attacks abroad ever since the Khomeinist regime came to power. It is entirely possible that the fanatical regime in Tehran would interrogate and perhaps torture Col. Mooney to gain information about US covert activities against the regime. Or he may be kept to trade for IRGC members arrested in Iraq.

I don’t think they stamped anything
and if they ever put any slip of paper in my passport
I must have lost it
because I’ve never seen it.

As for computer databases
they are common everywhere.
For example
if you cross the German border
even by train.
your passport number is phoned in by the border agent
to a central database
where it automatically is checked and cross-checked.
