Wrong. EMP is the directed product of a thermonuclear explosion whose radiation is designed to be emitted primarily in the electromagnetic waveslenths.

It IS a vast explosion but the beauty of it is that the pulse is very large in radius & effect, and can be detonated far from the target area.

Everything else is science fiction.

Well I’ve read that we’re working on a sole EMP device, so my knowledge is outdated.
