Better the devil you know. If I am going to have a traitor or a leftist in office, I much rather it be a democrat as I can work to unseat him with someone conservative.

If the traitor or leftist is in the republican party then I have to go the extra step of replacing him with a democrat for 6 years who will slightly worse.

Primary challenges currently aren't effective due to the collectivists being in charge of the RNC.
