Just to clarify from yesterday, the "clay pigeon" approach to splitting the amendment into sub-amendments got only as far as about 8 or 9 votes before one passed (against the plan) which would have forced a full debate on that sub-amendment (no strangle-hold on Senators' rights). Reid immediately ended the day, and now they are forcing the Senate to end debate and vote on the bill without voting on the remaining 20 sub-amendments?
