Apparently, there was an article in the Red Star that said that Bush personally lobbied Coleman very hard and promised to get Coleman’s sacntuary cities amendment put on Reid’s approved list. I’m alarmed if that’s all it took for Coleman to vote Yes on Tuesday.

I’m not entirely comfortable with Coleman these days. He has really achieved the status of “insider” these days. There are times when that’s beneficial but there are also times when he shouldn’t be so quick to negotiate and sell away his positions just so he can get an amendment considered.

Like I said, he’s won only a temporary reprieve from me. I will be watching what he does.

Huge huge victory today for the peoples, us dumb misguided unwashed bigoted masses! You have your Coleman I have Chambliss. They both ultimately voted the right way but didn’t have their heart in it and seemed ready to betray us. I’m watching with a keen eye too...
